Technology

Shortwave Infrared (SWIR)

Attollo Engineering designs and manufactures Indium Gallium Arsenide (InGaAs) detector material on-site and hybridizes those detectors to the Read-Out Integrated Circuit (ROIC). The resulting focal plane arrays (FPAs) are packaged into a camera core. Attollo can help customers pair that camera core with an optic to maximize performance.

Extended SWIR (eSWIR)

The Attollo extended-SWIR material, based on Strained Layer Superlattice (SLS) detector technology, is ideal for machine vision and other applications with cutoff wavelengths in the 0.9 – 2.4 µm spectral bands in a very small form factor IDCA.

Midwave Infrared (MWIR)

Attollo designs and manufactures strained layer superlattice (SLS)-based focal plane arrays with a variety of standard cutoff wavelengths in the MWIR.  Sensors are available at various levels of integration including the FPA and IDCA with very competitive size, weight, and power.

Image Processing

Ask about Attollo Engineering’s Precog Imaging™ on SWIR and MWIR camera cores.  It will provide real time laser information for lasers within the field of view (FOV).

Cooled Long Wave Infrared (LWIR)

Attollo’s Strain Layer Superlattice (SLS) technology extends to the LWIR and Very Longwave Infrared (VLWIR) and is used in a variety of cases including space‑based imaging and dual‑band MWIR/LWIR sensing.

Integrated Dewar Cooler Capability (IDCA)

Attollo is equipped with infrastructure and deep experience in packaging of focal plane arrays into Integrated Dewar Cooler Assemblies (IDCA) for both terrestrial and space applications.  Our team is astute in developing IDCAs with a keen eye on SWaP while still maintaining long life vacuum and efficient cryogenic cooling based on the expected operational environment.

Laser Sensing

See-spot

Attollo designs cameras in the SWIR band which are optimized for identifying laser spots between 1.0 µm – 1.65 µm.  Attollo also manufactures MWIR material with responsivity from 1.0 µm to 5.2 µm enabling multi-mission sets such as see-spot, persistent surveillance, situational awareness for day or night operations.

Semi-active Laser Seeker (SAL)

Attollo is developing advanced SAL sensors based on 2D arrays with unparalleled sensitivity for enhanced laser-guided weapon capability.

Laser Range Finders

Attollo offers the WASP Laser Rangefinder, an exceptionally low SWaP, 905 nm, laser rangefinder with performance beyond 200 meters when identifying non-cooperative targets.

Laser Warning

Utilizing our expertise in SWIR detector material and laser developments, Attollo has developed a series of laser sensing devices for IFF, precision fire safety, and secure communication applications.

Midwave IR Beacon – Identification of Friend or Foe (IFF)

Attollo is developing Identification Friend, Foe (IFF) MWIR beacons for personnel recovery, search and rescue, and for general IFF for special operations customers utilizing quantum cascade lasers (QCL). Low SWaP-Cost are hallmarks to these products.
